Pedro's Phone Call...

We were going to Ichthus with a group from Chillocothe, Ohio and we hear this on the radion station. A sales person attempts to sell new phone service to the radio station. Pedro from Napoleon Dynamite
answers the call.

Star Wars

The new movie was great. Took in the midnight showing in Indiana. R2D2, Yoda and General Grevious were my favorites. It was worth the going. The evolution of Darth Vader was very interesting. The weaving of the doubt, anger and believing untruth was Anakin's undoing. I believe Lucas made Anakin's character and process of becoming evil very believable and 'close to home'. There have been times in my life that I have processed information and situations like Anakin to my downfall. I was impressed with the hair a that the queen had at the beginning of the movie - foreshadowing her daughter's hair in Movie #4. Thank you Kyle for taking me to see the last installment of Star Wars. Or will there be another one?

Garage Sale

I'm sitting here at my garage sale. Well, I guess it is not mine, as if I put it entirely together without any help. ???? My wife and her friend Steffanie put it together. I am actually sitting here making sure the stuff does not get stealed - stolen. The girls who were working the garage sale have been relieved and they are now pursuing bargains at other local garage sales. My wife had a list of 12 that they were going to patronize. Have you ever wanted to know what the Chinese word for garage sale was...

This entire idea of Garage Sale is an fantastic phenomena. It is part of our culture, our American culture. I attempted to find an article or paper online about this concept. If you find something like this please post it.

Couple more days until Star Wars. Gotta find a babysitter so I can go to a late late showing next week. How many Star Wars movies are there? 6? If I remember correctly # 4, 5 and 6 came out in the 70's & 80's. Then #'s 1 and 2 came out in the late 90's and the 3rd this year. Did I hear awhile ago that there was going to be an episode #7?

Scooby Dooby Doo

Yesterday we tried out a new church, actually an old church. The church my father grew up in and the church my grandparents and three of five of my dad's siblings attend. Our boys enjoyed the familiarity and of course Grandpa and Nana.

Today we tore out the bathroom carpet and the 1950's linoleum the black with the multicolor speckle. After the tear out, we sweep up and shop vacuum. Then we laid Hardibacker Cementboard http://webapps.easy2.com/cm/masterflash/generic_index.asp?page_id=35717717 . After that I installed two light fixtures and two switch covers. I have this cement stuff all over my body and I need to take a shower before Extreme Makeover Home Edition - How'd They Do That.

We have some great friends who we spend time with occasionally. Jason and Stephanie. Our children have had great times together. We have learned much from each other, each other's kids and parenting style.

Dinner for tonight was beef stroganoff http://maindish.allrecipes.com/az/synSkilltStrgnff.asp My wife did a great job. The parenting question for the night...How much should we let our 3 year old stay in his room for eating a snack after he was told that he would not have any other food unless he at his beef stoganoff?
